Friday nights in October mean movies under the stars in Downtown Huntsville! Downtown Huntsville, Inc. is bringing back Movies in the Park for another season at Big Spring Park West, with a different movie showing each Friday night throughout the month.
The free outdoor movie series kicks off October 2 and continues through October 30, giving families and friends five chances to grab a blanket, find a spot on the lawn, and enjoy a movie in the heart of downtown.
2026 Movies in the Park Schedule
This year’s lineup includes family favorites, nostalgic classics, and plenty of Halloween fun:
- October 2: The Lego Movie
- October 9: The Goonies
- October 16: Minions & Monsters
- October 23: Hocus Pocus
- October 30: The Nightmare Before Christmas
Movies will begin at sunset, around 6 p.m., at Big Spring Park West.
A Friday Night in Downtown Huntsville
Movies in the Park is hosted by Downtown Huntsville, Inc. and has become a fun fall tradition for spending an evening outdoors in Big Spring Park.
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for the movie. With the screenings happening on Friday nights, it’s also an easy excuse to make an evening of it – grab dinner or a treat from a downtown Huntsville restaurant before heading to the park.
As October gets closer to Halloween, the lineup gets a little spookier, wrapping up with Hocus Pocus on October 23 and The Nightmare Before Christmas on October 30.
