What do David Hasselhof, Blondie, and the Reagan administration have in common? They were all staples of the 1980’s, and Amendment XXI is giving the people of Huntsville a chance to go back in time at the HYP 80’s Party Friday, September 13th!

HYP 80’s Party

Huntsville Young Professionals and Amendment XXI are hosting the next of their monthly theme nights this Friday, and this time they are taking people back to the 1980’s. The party will take place Friday from 8pm-12pm on the second floor of their upscale bar, complete with a costume contest, 80’s tunes, and drink specials. Cover is free if you come in your best 80’s attire!

Karma Rags is exclusively a local vintage clothing shop that prefers to sell only through the store in order to give customers the best of the best to choose from. They offer their own vintage finds, as well as those sold by Shirley’s Vintage and Montgomery June Vintage.

Style: Karma Rags carries both vintage and contemporary second hand clothing and accessories, including skirts, dresses, sweaters, coats, men’s clothing and ties, bags, shoes, hats, gloves, slacks and other related items. The vintage clothing sold in the store starts in the 1940’s and 1950’s and goes through the 1980’s.

Montgomery June is a fun and quirky vintage clothing brand featuring clothes from the 1950’s through the 1980’s, all certified vintage through the Etsy Vintage Team.

Style: Owner Megan describes the Montgomery June girl as having “a unique sense of style, an urge to not fit in with the crowd, independent, quirky, and has a love of cats.”

The store is based online, but also sells items through Karma Rags in Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment, and their studio.

They are based mainly online. Any pieces online can be seen at their studio, or Karma Rags, during Lowe Mill hours. AND if you see something you like online at their Etsy store and pick it up at their studio, you’ll receive a 20% discount.
