1. The Smoke in the Outfield BBQ Festival

Date: August 4 – 5
Location: Toyota Field
Event Information

Free live entertainment including a live band, face painting, balloon animals, outdoor games, and a mechanical bull will be on hand for attendees. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked turkey, and specialty drinks.

2. Light Up the Night

Date: Friday, August 4
Time: 6 – 9pm
Location: Big Spring Park

Light Up the Night at Big Spring Park East (near the spring) is back on!! Join Huntsville Parks & Rec for this glow party blowout on Friday, August 4 from 6-9 p.m. There will be music, crazy cool lighting, dancing + more fun at this free, family-friendly event. From 7-9 p.m., get ready for the ultimate party experience when the glow foam cannons come out! The first 100 children will also receive a light-up party favor. Hungry? Grab dinner or a drink at the DHI Food Truck Rally, which has also been rescheduled for the evening of August 4. Trucks will be lined up along Church Street and the surrounding area.

3. Ain’t Too Proud

Date: August 1 – 6
Location: Von Braun Center

5. Jamaica’s 61st Independence Day Anniversary

Jamaica’s 61st Independence Day Anniversary will be held at Rocket Republic Downtown, located at 617 Meridian Street North, Huntsville, Alabama on August 6, 2023 at 3 PM. The FREE event will feature MD & Cobalt Blue Reggae out of Nashville & DJ Apples. It will be hosted by We The 3 Production Group.

On August 6 at 6 PM, come out to Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium to cheer on Huntsville City FC as they host FC Cincinnati 2! Happy hour in the Yellowhammer Craft Beer Garden from 4-5 PM.
