Memphis, Kansas City, St. Louis, Texas, and Huntsville. What do all of these places have in common? Baseball & BBQ! Get ready for the debut of Smoke In The Outfield hosted at the home of the Trash Panda’s Toyota Field on August 4th-5th 2023.
The Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) is sanctioning this debut event so you know the smells & competition will be top notch. Currently team registration is open for amateur teams that would like to participate. Team registration is $150 per team, visit here to complete the registration. Tickets for the general public will go on sale March 1st 2023.
Festivities for the opening of the festival will take place August 4th at 5:30pm with a VIP Opening Night Celebration. Teams will be introduced with highlights of their specialty cooking styles before they begin preparations for the long smoke ahead. There will be flavors galore as the categories include Chicken, Ribs, and Pork.
For festival attendees get ready to have a fantastic weekend with lots of fun and activities. Games on the concourse, local vendors, live entertainment, and the ability to sample/purchase your favorite foods… let’s say a little BBQ?
