When was the last time you’ve been down to the Gulf of Mexico? Do you miss it as much as I do?
Now do me a favor. Get in your car, drive down to Sea Salt downtown on Clinton Avenue, pull up a chair at the bar with your back towards the street, close your eyes, breathe in through your nose, and tell me that you don’t feel like you’ve just made it to the Gulf. It can’t be done.
I had the pleasure of having lunch with my friend Ryan down at Sea Salt last week, and I was blown away by the experience. With fresh/never frozen seafood being delivered directly from the Gulf every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, the smell of fresh oysters and seafood is always in Sea Salt.
Although they’re an Oyster bar, everything I saw goes by me looked incredible. I recommend the Ahi Tacos and a bowl of their Manhattan Seafood Chowder with crab.
The adult grilled cheese might be their most popular item that’s not an Oyster and the Florida Snapper Ceviche came highly recommended as well.
With 24 draft beers on tap and the closest full-service bar to the sidewalk of any downtown business, Sea Salt has something for everyone.
