Refreshing Drinks to End Summer

By Guest Blogger

Summer is coming to an end, but we are not letting go of these five refreshing summer drinks!

Offbeat Coffee –  Call Me Old Fashioned

We’re feeling Mad Men vibes over here with Offbeat’s newest seasonal espresso drink. Similar to a regular Old Fashioned you’ll find local bitters, orange peel, a hint of vanilla, and espresso takes the place of whiskey. This is a totally acceptable drink to have in the morning! 😉 (photo from Offbeat Coffee’s Instagram page).

Innerspace Brewing – Blueberry Milkshake

Innerspace is THE brewery to go to if you’re looking for really unique beers, especially sours, saisons, and farmhouse ales. After having their limited edition blood orange IPA brewed exclusively for the Apollo 50th Anniversary we decided to take home a Blueberry Milkshake and WOW! The beer gets its milkshake name from the added lactose which gives it a smooth, sweet flavor.

Piper & Leaf – Sparkling Iced Tea

One day we randomly ordered a “sparkling” lemon berry blush iced tea from Piper & Leaf (yes, we forgot our jar) and it is THE most refreshing summer drink! You can make any tea sparkling so choose your favorite and let us know what you think!

Gold Sprint Coffee – Nitro Cold Brew and Nitro Infused Hibiscus Tea

Gold Sprint Coffee is the newest coffee shop in Huntsville, and they have wasted no time bringing new and unique drinks (and food!) to the coffee scene. They use Domestique Coffee out of Birmingham and have created some amazing drinks using Remedy Herbs. (photo from Gold Sprint Coffee’s Instagram page).

Tribal Kombucha

Kombucha is refreshing any time of the year, but we especially enjoy Tribal Kombucha’s pineapple flavor in the summer months. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that kombucha is REALLY good for you since it’s packed with probiotics and is exceptionally good for gut and liver health. But wait, there’s more! Tribal Kombucha is opening a taproom inside Lowe Mill in the old Alchemy Coffee space. We CANNOT wait!
