Fries and Sides That Are Better Than the Main Course

By Guest Blogger

Sometimes the sides or appetizers are just as good as the main course! Here are seven appetizers or side dishes you don’t want to miss:

Farm Burger – FB Fries

We know what you’re thinking, “fries… eye roll”, but Farm Burger FB Fries are tossed with spicy garlic, parmesan, and herbs. While we’re talking fries, we must also mention their pimento cheese fries. They’re topped with pickled jalapenos, and we can’t get enough of them. Their regular fries are some of the best in town too!

Viet Cuisine – Banh Mi

You can totally order the banh mi sandwich for your lunch or dinner, but we typically order one and split it as an appetizer. You know, a little pre-game before the pho arrives. Be sure to opt for the spicy option!

Local Taco – Mexi Tots

Think of these as a mix between hushpuppies and tater tots with cheese. And if it’s possible to make these even better, they add a spicy dipping sauce to kick them up (another) notch!

Thai Garden – Spring Rolls

We LOVE the crunchy kind of spring rolls, and the ones from Thai Garden are no exception! I think we could eat several orders of these and just make a meal out of them.

Mason Dixon – Smoked Mac & Cheese

What would a list of amazing sides be without mac and cheese? Mason Dixon uses corn pasta and house-smoked cream and cheddar cheese which makes a delightful pairing!

Beast Mode – Side of the Day

This isn’t one particular item, because Beast Mode switches up their side of the day and EVERY TIME it’s incredible! Gorgonzola mac & cheese, melon salad, and cheesy hashbrowns, you can’t go wrong with their side of the day option!

Commerce Kitchen – Fried Green Tomatoes

Southern food at its finest! We love the fried green tomatoes from Commerce Kitchen and the delicious house-smoked aioli with hot sauce. Do you sense a theme here? We really like spicy food.
