1. MidCity Monster Mash 2023

Date: October 13 – 31
Location: MidCity

The MidCity Monster Mash is BACK for 2023 on Friday, October 13th and runs through Halloween! Scary good food. Halloween-inspired cocktails. Spooky characters roaming every weekend. Fun events every week! BIG BANDS and LIVE music every weekend! Costume contest with prizes! and SO MUCH MORE!

2. Friday the 13th Ghost Hunt

Date: Friday, October 13
Time: 7:00pm – 11:00pm
Location: Historic Lowry House

Halloween Season and Friday the 13th October Ghost Hunt, Tour & Interactive Paranormal Investigation of One of The the Most Haunted places in Alabama That Few Know About!! The extremely haunted and mysterious Lowry House in Huntsville. You can wear your Halloween Costume if you like but that’s totally optional.

3. Spooky Stroll Down Gas Light Alley

Date: Saturday, October 14
Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Location: Stovehouse

Participating businesses will be passing out candy to Trick or Treaters, as well as store discounts. LIMITED Golden Tickets with exclusive offerings will also be handed out. Will YOUR little Goblin be the one to claim one? Kick off your Halloween festivities early by enjoying this FREE EVENT down Gas Light Alley, then make your way over to the Food Garden to enjoy food, drinks, and live music by the band Free Candy from 7 pm – 10 pm.

4. Records & Retro

Date: Sunday, October 15
Time: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Orion Amphitheater

Shop over 100 booths featuring all kinds of items! From some of the nation’s most beloved record shops and labels that will have LPs and 45s, to folks who have incredible collections of retro music equipment, cassettes, CDs, VHS, video games, books, clothing, furniture, tchotchkes, and SO much more! The market will also feature live music, DJs, food trucks, and a wonderful day of community! This event is free to attend!

5. Maple Hill Cemetery Stroll

Date: Sunday, October 15
Time: 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Location: Maple Hill Cemetery
Event Information

This Maple Hill Cemetery event has grown to be one of the largest living history strolls in the nation, with over 75 costumed characters, traditional music, special exhibits, an expanded antique auto display, and student scavenger hunts. There will be at least a dozen new characters featured this year. Not all are buried in Maple Hill, but they are essential in accurately reflecting the history of Huntsville.

Bluegrass BBQ Festival

Date: Saturday, October 14
Time: 2:00pm – 8:00pm
Location: South Side Park
Event Information

Join South Huntsville Main and Commissioner Phil Riddick for an afternoon full of lively Bluegrass music at Southside Park on Chaney Thompson Road! Back again this year is cherished bluegrass band Three on a String and joining them are Iron Horse, and Grasstronaughts. First band goes on at 2pm and the last band starts at 6pm. Grab your picnic blanket or chair and enjoy some great music in South Huntsville! The event is free and food trucks will be available.
