4 New Huntsville Restaurants to Check Out This Weekend

Fresko Grille

Fresko Grille is a locally owned family business specializing in modern Mediterranean food in a food hall type setting at Stovehouse. The menu is simple: choose a bowl or wrap, pick a base and protein, add some veggies, and top it with spreads, salads, and a sauce. This is a spot we plan to visit frequently!

Melt

We are beyond excited when new restaurants open downtown, and since we are in need of casual dining in the area we knew Melt would help fill that void. Melt started as a food truck in Birmingham before opening a storefront in Avondale. We are here for their modern take on classic comfort food! And the cheese. Lots and lots of cheese.

Champy’s Chicken

We have been hearing rave reviews about Champy’s Chicken in Chattanooga for years now, so we were excited to see one opening a little closer to home. In addition to fried chicken you can also find fried or grilled shrimp as well as fried catfish. We love the hushpuppies that come with the catfish!

The Brass Tap

The Tampa, FL based chain, The Brass Tap, has over 60 taps at their new Merchant’s Square location with a heavy focus on Huntsville and Alabama beers. Did you know you’ll also find an extensive lunch and dinner menu too? From burgers (with the Impossible Burger option!) to nachos, tacos, and even salads, there really is something for everyone.
