2. Swing at the Library

August 2

Huntsville’s In the Mood will be rattling the bookshelves with the magical sounds of Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and many more.


3. Miracle Bash & Swim For Melissa

August 5 & 6

The Miracle Bash is dinner, silent auction & dancing – 8/5. Swim for Melissa takes place 8/6 at Hampton Cove Pool. Proceeds benefit Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RNICU) at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children.


 4. Fiddler on the Roof presented by Huntsville Community Chorus

August 5 & 6

Laugh and cry with Tevye and his family in this beloved musical event.  This is an HCCA musical theatre production you won’t want to miss! Tickets start at $15.


5. The Science of Archimedes at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center

August 6

This new exhibit showcases inventions and scientific discoveries of Archimedes, the “Father of Modern Science”. With computer-modeled animations, interactive machines and an activity station for ages 3 to 14, this exhibit is designed for all ages.


6. Rocket Chef

August 8

Rocket Chef will showcase local chefs from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences… all on a stage in front of a live audience. Tickets $95.


7. Uncorked at the Garden

August 11

Enjoy a special evening sipping wine and sampling local favorite appetizers. Meet famous wine maker Bjoern Lanwer as he shares his wine story. Members $30, Non-Members $35.


8. Huntsville Restaurant Week

August 12 – 21

During this 10-day event, participating restaurants offer specialized menu items at fixed prices for lunch and/or dinner, designed to showcase their best. See participating restaurants here.

9. Movies in the Park – Aladdin

August 12

Enjoy a movie under that stars in Big Spring Park. Final movie presented by the Historic Huntsville Foundation.


10. City Lights and Stars featuring Mo’ Sol

August 12

Burritt on the Mountain’s final concert in the gazebo with the best view in town. Tickets $10 – $15.

11. Grotto Lights Concert & Picnic

August 13

Picnic starts at 4 pm, concert starts at 6 pm. BYO yard games food and drinks, Food Trucks on site. Concert features New Madrid and The Wolves of Chernobyl.


12. Toga Party at U.S. Space & Rocket Center

August 13

An exclusive celebration in “The Science of Archimedes” exhibition. A night of food, fun, music, mythology, and olympics. Togas and tunics encouraged- Prizes for best costumes. $90/Couple or $50/Individual.


13. Listen Local Huntsville IV

August 18

Local singer/songwriters Dawn Osborn, Andrew Sharpe, and Antony Sharpe are hosted by Alan Little in a round-robin style listening room concert. Tickets $10 – $20.


14. Street Food Gathering

August 19

The last Street Food Gathering that takes place on Church Street! Stillwater Bluegrass performs, Huntsville Escape Rooms will have an Escape Tent, there will be over 40 food and drink vendors and great fun to had by all!

15. Drop-in & CREATE at Huntsville Museum of Art

August 20

Theme is maginary Inkblot Creatures. Come and make some art!


16. Sausage Fest at Blue Pants Brewery

August 20

Ticket holders get unlimited samples of the sausage and side dishes from each cook teams and can vote for your favorite! Your ticket includes 5 voting tickets, $10 online $15 at the door.


17. Concert at Historic Three Caves

August 20

LOCASH performs. Proceeds benefit Land Trust of North Alabama. Tickets start at $35.

19. L.I.T.: Light Innovation Technology

DayLIT includes kids activities and exhibits. LIT will feature 4 artists’ on each side of the Square projecting their light show onto the historic buildings of Downtown Huntsville.
