Is it your dream to be on stage? To feel the lights on your face? To hear the sound of millions of people applauding you? Then we have the answer! Well…the answer if you happen to be between the ages of 10 and 18.
Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater and Academy has been bringing the magic of theater to the young and young at heart in The Tennessee Valley since 1961! Now you have an opportunity to be a part of the magic. The Fantasy Players are having auditions!!
Ready to Play?
The Fantasy Players and JR Players are performing ambassadors to Fantasy Playhouse. The Players meet to rehearse and learn, then perform throughout the community at schools, festivals and other venues from August-May.
Dedication required, fun included! The Players are directed by Huntsville Theater regulars Joanna Broad White and Lucas Kiker.
Who Can Play
Ages: Not sure which group is best for your aspiring star or starlet?
- JR Players: For aspiring actors ages 10-12 years old meet every Monday at 6-7p.m.
- Players: For aspiring actors ages 13-18 years old meet every Monday 6:30-8:30 p.m.
- JR Players: Meet every Monday from 6-7p.m.
- Players: Meet every Monday 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Audition Details
Auditions will be held on Tuesday July 31 at 6:30pm at The Fantasy Playhouse Arts Center, 3312 Long Avenue. Actors will be asked to perform cold readings and improvs at the audition. If you can not make the first audition date, they will be having an additional round of auditions on Tuesday August 7th at 6:30pm. For more information call the Fantasy Office 256-539-6829.

Fantasy is planning a varied season of shows that will delight every age including adults.
- Travel the Sherwood forest with Robin Hood in The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood October 12-14 & 19-21;
- Look for happiness with a lovable dragon in the Dragon of Nitt February 15-17 & 22-24
- See how a mouse survives in the Big Apple in Stuart Little April 19-21 & 26-28.
- Plus don’t forget about Scrooge in the season extra, A Christmas Carol December 7-9 & 13-16.

You have several options to purchase tickets to Fantasy’s shows:
- Go through the online ticketing process
- Call our wonderful office staff at 256-539-6829
- Drop by Fantasy’s Building during business hours (Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm)
- Buy them an hour before any show at the box office at the VBC Playhouse
